Tripotassium citrate anhydrous is manufactured from tripotassium citrate monohydrate. Water molecules of the monohydrate crystals are removed by a patented process without destroying the original crystal matrix.Potassium citrate anhydrous occurs as white crystalline powder. It is freely soluble in water and practically insoluble in ethanol (96 %). It is a non-toxic, neutral salt with low reactivity. It is chemically stable if stored at ambient temperatures.Basically,potassium citrate anhydrous should be kept in airtight container in case the product is affected with damp.
Tripotassium citrate anhydrous is mainly used as analysis reagent,food additive and alkaline potassium salt for hypokalemia and alkalization of urine in pharmaceutical industry.It’s made efficient compound fertilizer.It’s also applied in paper-making and gold-plating industries etc.
